The original Galaxy S and recently launched Galaxy S2 have been wildly popular phones for Samsung, thanks to the unbeatable combination of top-notch hardware and the app-happy Android platform. Though we can't give Samsung maximum points for originality on the naming front, we're already expecting great things from the third-generation model.

Who will get to see the Galaxy S3 first? Why, Apple of course. Thanks to an ongoing legal battle between the two tech giants, Apple's lawyers may well get a sneak peek at the Android-y goodness before we do. That is, if blurry spy-cam shots don't surface in the meantime.

What goodies will the S3 pack in? One year ahead of launch, that's hard to say, but we'll be expecting nothing less than a quad-core processor, a super-bright AMOLED 3D screen, a 12-megapixel dual camera, some augmented reality shenanigans, and of course NFC. It should certainly have the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, on board.

Asia Bizz: The third generation of the Samsung Galaxy S, will be available in the Market in the first half of the year 2012. The announcement was made by JK Shin, the president of the mobile division of Samsung.


Those waiting for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available only in the year 2012. After the success of the Galaxy S and the Galaxy S2, there are lots of expectations with the Galaxy S3.

The high tech combination of a strong hardware and an application friendly Android Operating System has made the Galaxy S series popular. Though the company may not be applauded on the originality at the naming front, there are indeed high expectations with the S3 version of Galaxy.

There is still a year left for the launch, but the features of the phone are expected to have a 12 Mega Pixel dual camera, quad core processor, AMOLED 3D screen and NFC. Apart from the S3 launch, Shin had also announced a 4G tablet, which is expected to release this year. Shin said that the race for 4G has already started, particularly for tablets as they need faster speed for downloads that the smartphones so as to handle bigger volume content.

Maar 10 jaar wachten op een sgs lijkt me toch te lang haha ik vind het wel vet dat nvidia zijn chips onderscheid van andere producenten door ze super helden namen te geven een slimme strategie van Nvidia.
